Course Overview

Immerse yourself in beautiful Costa Rica for a week-long comprehensive course on bodywork for the whole body. You’ll learn more about the Neck, Back, Shoulder, Knee, Hip, Thigh, Lower Leg, Foot, and Ankle than you thought possible. And there will be plenty of time in between classes to relax at the beach or explore diving, surfing, kayaking, and more.

Join Dr. Ben Benjamin, a leading expert in therapeutic bodywork, for a week of accelerated learning that will enhance your ability to assess and treat injuries and give you a solid foundation in techniques that will revolutionize your practice.

Don’t miss this opportunity to attend this unique, 95% hands-on workshop designed to be more kinesthetic than textbook learning. By the end, you’ll have these tools ready to integrate into your next client session.

A unique feature of this workshop is the way the anatomy, specifically palpation anatomy, is taught. It’s difficult to treat an injury unless you can actually locate it with your hands. These techniques are designed to be effective for the client while causing a minimal amount of stress on the practitioner's body. Under supervision, you will learn how to find the discreet injuries taught in this course. The injury protocols have multiple components:

  • Anatomy Palpation: how to put your finger on each injured structure
  • Deep Tissue Muscular Therapy for the Neck, Back: how to use deep tissue muscular therapy with each injury
  • Myofascial Therapy: how to use myofascial therapy with each injury
  • Assessment Testing for the Neck, Back, Shoulder, Knee, Hip, Thigh, Lower Leg, Foot, and Ankle: how to physically test for every injury
  • Friction Therapy for the Neck, Back, Shoulder, Knee, Hip, Thigh, Lower Leg, Foot, and Ankle: how to break down adhesive scar tissue for each injury
  • Exercise Therapy for the Neck, Back, Shoulder, Knee, Hip, Thigh, Lower Leg, Foot, and Ankle: an exercise program for each injury
