Certification in Manual Lymph Drainage (Vodder Technique)
In this five day manual lymphatic drainage certification, students will learn History of the lymphatic system and Manual Lymph Drainage. Additionally we will cover basic anatomy and physiology of the lymphatic system, drainage pathways of the lymphatic system, pathophysiology of the lymphatic system, lymphatic insufficiencies and conditions that lead to the development of edema, difference between edema and lymphedema, as well as indications and contraindications of manual lymphatic drainage massage. We will learn basic strokes for the entire body and their effects, application of basic manual lymph drainage sequences in healthy lymphatic systems, application of basic manual lymphatic drainage to post-traumatic and post-surgical edema, and application of basic manual lymphatic drainage massage sequences to various pathologies (fibromyalgia, migraines, chronic fatigue syndrome).
This course will assist therapists in developing treatment sequences for the management of edema of various causes including post-traumatic and post-surgical edema; as well as several pathologies such as fibromyalgia, chronic fatigue syndrome, migraines, chronic pain reduction and others. During this course, the participants will learn to perform techniques that will assist patients and clients in general relaxation, health support and detoxification.
This 5-day manual lymphatic drainage massage certification course is open to Licensed or Certified Massage Therapists, Licensed Healthcare Professionals or healthcare students only. There are 8 hours of pre-course work which will be provided along with enrollment documents.
