Make Your Gap Year Meaningful – Learn A New Skill
As most of us know, there is a “new normal” upon us. What this “normal” will look like for the future, we have no idea. With social distancing still in full effect and schools still on the fence about holding in-person classes, for those who are meant to be starting university in the fall it can be a confusing time. Many universities are not even considering holding classes on campus until at least January and some people are just not wild about the idea of online learning. Because of the uncertainty of it all and the possibility of taking online classes, many people are considering taking a gap year.
If you are one of those people that is thinking about taking a gap year, why not take that time to do something meaningful and learn a new skill? The Costa Rica School of Massage Therapy can help you with that! The CRSMT runs an accelerated massage therapy program that can help you gain a new skill while traveling and making the most of your gap year!
What is a gap year?
A gap year is a year typically taken in between senior year of high school and freshman year of college and is a year (or even just a semester) that the person does not attend school, but rather does something else with the time. Many people choose to travel. Others volunteer. There are many options for taking a gap year, but why not make it meaningful? Make your gap year (or semester) count!
Why should I learn a new skill during my gap year?
Learning a new skill at any point in life is always a good idea. It gives you something to fall back on or, at the very least, a new hobby to enjoy. So why not use your time off from school to do something good for yourself? Do something that can have a positive effect on your future.
What should I do to make my gap year meaningful?
At the CRSMT, we prepare students for the future by teaching them the basics of massage therapy.
