11 Jun CRSMT Graduate Tiffany Ryan Joins Integrative Trauma Treatment Center in Portland
Tiffany Ryan is a Costa Rica School of Massage Therapy and Yoga graduate and has sent us an update on her career. She completed our 200RYS Yoga Teacher Training and our 600 hour Massage Therapy Certification in 2017, and was just hired to be a part of the Integrative Trauma Treatment Center team in Portland: http://traumacenternw.com. ITTC is a holistic center that works with people who have experienced trauma – they provide counseling, medication management, massage, reiki, acupuncture, art therapy, yoga, etc.
“I will be doing Trauma Informed Yoga, Massage, Craniosacral, running a Yoga Sutra book club, conducting trainings for professionals on the mind/body connection, doing research on the effectiveness/outcomes of this holistic approach. They are even talking about sending me to Rwanda to present at the Multi Cultural Trauma training for the Global Engagement Institute http://www.global-engagement.org/professionals/health/multicultural-trauma-treatment-training-rwanda/. I am planning on putting together a training on trauma for massage therapists. It would be focused on special considerations when working with the population and massage techniques that would be appropriate. Once I have that training put together, I’d love to see if CRSMT might want to offer it. I am so excited about the opportunities my yoga teacher and massage therapy training are opening for me and where they are leading me! I’m loving Portland, but often miss Samara! “
Thank you for the update Tiffany! If you are a graduate of any of our programs, we would love to hear how about your life and career. Send us an email: email@example.com
